Verige Bridge Montenegro

TDV supported GRADIS from Slovenia with the overall analysis including the static and dynamic calculation. Special damping elements were used for seismic analysis.

Verige Bridge, Cable stayed Bridge

Verige Bridge in Montenegro is a large and extremely slender structure in a highly sensitive seismic area, the Bay of Kotor, crossing the Verige Strait at the Bay's entrance. Verige Bridge will have a concrete deck and a composite pylon.

Planned to be built using the balanced cantilevering method, this cable-stayed bridge will have spans of 41 + 50 + 90 + 130 + 450 + 130 + 90 m and overall length of 981 m. The deck is a prestressed concrete box girder, 2.8 m high and 22.91 m wide, carrying four highway lanes and two pedestrian sidewalks. The bridge deck has an aerodynamic trapezoid cross-section. The two steel-concrete composite A-shaped pylons have the height of to 168 m. The navigable clear height is 50 m.
