Verige Bridge
Montenegro
TDV supported GRADIS from Slovenia with the overall analysis including the static and dynamic calculation. Special damping elements were used for seismic analysis.
![]() Verige Bridge, Cable stayed Bridge Verige Bridge in Montenegro is a large and extremely slender structure in a highly sensitive seismic area, the Bay of Kotor, crossing the Verige Strait at the Bay's entrance. Verige Bridge will have a concrete deck and a composite pylon. Planned to be built using the balanced cantilevering method, this cable-stayed bridge will have spans of 41 + 50 + 90 + 130 + 450 + 130 + 90 m and overall length of 981 m. The deck is a prestressed concrete box girder, 2.8 m high and 22.91 m wide, carrying four highway lanes and two pedestrian sidewalks. The bridge deck has an aerodynamic trapezoid cross-section. The two steel-concrete composite A-shaped pylons have the height of to 168 m. The navigable clear height is 50 m.
