Kap Shui Mun Bridge, Cable stayed Bridge Completed in 1997, the Kap Shui Mun Bridge links the New Territories in Honk Kong with the Island of Chep Lap Kok, where the airport is located. The total length of the Kap Shui Mun Bridge is 820 m and its main span is 430 m long. The H-shaped towers are 150 m tall to allow a navigation clearance of 47 m. The central 387 m of the main span uses steel composite with concrete to make the cross section lighter. The back spans and the remaining main span are concrete cross sections.
